Movies

I have always been a movie fan and was basically the frat house version of Blockbuster in college.  While I have stopped amassing my DVD collection, I still devour movies at a pretty regular clip.

Netflix is an amazing service… I fully support signing up.  It has been great catching up on indie flicks and documentaries that I rarely find an audience for outside my living room…

My favorites?

Great Expectations is an amazingly well done movie; the music and color themes held throughout are amazing and Gwynneth Paltrow is hauntingly removed opposite Ethan Hawke’s passionate charge throughout the entire film.  I think I watched this movie once a month in college.

Rad is possibly my favorite movie of all time, even though I haven’t seen it in a few years.  My brother Lance and I woudl watch it so often the VHS tape woudl snap mid-movie, sending us screaming down the hill on our bikes to have the folks at Video Xpress repair it… leaving a myriad of short scotch-tape covered gaps througout our original copy.  Still amazing.  Cru Jones, what a great boy.

James Bond… even the outlandishly corny ones are fun.  Sean Connery classics are a great throw back, the Daniel Craig new ones are setting a new bar for the series that I am happy to see.
